A friend who was in town suggested this place. It was near where he was working on a project and convenient for a quick visit and food. I remembered it and the really good food for years and decided to find it again. It isn't often that a pizza and sandwich place offers something that sticks in my memory so well. No let down at all. Now I have two samples to remember and I won't let years pass before adding more. |

The first thing to say about the Lost Dog Cafe is that they have a conscience. They actively help animals find homes and people find pets and they run a nonprofit. Good to find a business with a conscience these days.
But, about the restaraunt...
We were seated quickly, as we arrived early on a Saturday night, but by the time we left (7:30) there was a big line. The server was quick and courteous throughout. This was our first visit so we tried an appetizer and stuck to the pizza, as that is what they are known for. All of the food was outstanding. We each ordered individual pizzas (Ricky Ricotta & Burro Pie). They were delicious.
Other notable things about this place include the dog decor, the fact that it is COMPLETELY NON-SMOKING, the HUGE selection of beers and the family-friendly limit of three beers per person. |

Terrific pizza, which I have only had delivered to date. I wouldn't recommend ordering takeout or delivery on a Friday night. Delivery times are incredibly slow and the quality seems to suffer a bit (but pizza still damn good) on this night due to their immense popularity. |
