Horrific service:
My family and I had been to Nathaniel Porter Inn on Thanksgiving under its previous ownership with Mr. Lynch, and we had a flawless time in a beautiful setting with incredible cuisine. What happened this Thanksgiving (under the new ownership) was horrendous. Here's the details:
*Owner had a bad attitude (maybe upset from disorganization and lack of preparation?)
*Owner's mother had an angry sour face the entire night (maybe upset because she had to clean up her son's mess?)
*No bus boys
*No bartender (except the owner with bad attitude, and in a frenzy - obviously way in over his head)
*No "Happy Thanksgiving" greeting from anyone (including the owner)
*Waitresses tried real hard (gotta give 'em credit based on the limited resources and poor management)
*Music was Christmas-oriented? What was that all about!
*No lit fireplaces (even though the Inn promises to light them)
*Chaotic movements of staff - I thought restaurant staff were supposed to move with an organized, calm, flow.
*Time table was three hours total to wait and then eat!
*Many many other patrons were verbalizing their complaints...so loud that the entire restaurant heard them!
I hope things change, because I miss the old Nathaniel Porter Inn. That evening was a poor example of what this restaurant could and should be, and it displayed a disrepect of the previous owner's hard efforts. |
