Within 50 feet of the Bradbury Museum, which houses a replica of Fat Man (the Atom Bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima), there is a Subway store where you can get toasted subs with steak and cheese and all the fixings. If that wasn't enough, there is a bookstore neaby with quite a few literary books with trinkets for the kids (3D books, replica dinosaurs, and a Penny Squasher), and computer and scientific books galore (a whole section devoted to Oreilly books if you are looking for Programmer's References). Since scientists need to buy books for research, they buy their books through the Otowi Bookstore which is just next to the Subway. If however what you want is a Donut, the Daylight Delight's Donut Store (and China Moon) are within 400 feet of the Museum (in fact all the restaurants of Los Alamos are right there), but Subway is by far the most inexpensive and most filling, and most healthy. |
