Good, fast sandwiches, cold beer and great atmosphere make this eclectic eatery a local favorite. Julie Haynes and Randy Buller share ownership of this retro, mid-century modern watering hole. The menu is simple and delicious; sandwiches and three choices of soup. Its served fast by a happy staff. While "No Crybabies" is the sign posted squarely on the front door, well behaved children are allowed to enter. You'll find no children's menu, but the chips and queso as well as the standard grilled ham and cheese find happy young customers. By 8:00 PM, its adults only as the liquor starts to flow and the volume of the music goes up. The staff appears to be having as much fun as the guests and may often be encouraged to dance on the bar ala coyote ugly. If Aretha Franklin, Rolling Stones and Reggae are your thang, you will find your groove at Rock-A-Belly Deli on the first block of the historic Aggieville district. Rock-A-Belly is walking distance from KSU, shopping, Ramada Plaza and dozen other bars and restaurants. |
