A bit cramped, my first visit to a Jersey Mike's reminded me of a Subway restaurant: you tell the first clerk what you want, and they put the appropriate meat and cheese on the bread; you then tell the second clerk what toppings and fillings you want.
Though the deviate a bit from the Subway model (and not to imply that Subway invented it; only that Subway is everywhere): your meats and cheeses are sliced to order from slabs (a good thing), and I wasn't given any choice of bread - no "white or wheat" or any other choice (for many, that's a bad thing).
My sub was just fine; but nothing remarkable. |
