Giovanni and his staff know Italian Food and serve the best in the area.
They have fun serving you and they are friendly as is the clientel that gathers there on a daily basis to meet and have fun. If you don't see what you want on the menu ask them to make it for you. |

Giovanni and his family make this place feel better then home. It's fun and exciting and spreads to those that eat there too. It's friendly and the food is great and the prices right too! There are many a time I walk in to see freinds eating there too! We have a super bowl party catered by San Carlo that is to die for. Quantity and quality are unsurpassed |

Ok, I love that place, around the corner from my house, a piece of lingo-speaking Italians to begin with give this extra authenticity effect.
You gotta be Italian to know what to get, or with an Italian friend, otherwise don't judge.
Buy a Panzerotto for only $2.50 each, you'll get culinarily off.
Pane is done fresh for real, the first place I could by a pane type called "michetta", they also have popular other pane like "pugliese" and so on,
Focaccia is done fresh, and pizza too, decent selection of prosciutto and coppa and pancetta and so forth, olives.
Plus they MAKE fresh dolci, all kinds, pugliesi, siciliani and so on...
much respect to Giovanni, the owner, Pasquale the son, and the others...

I traded with san carlo for three years before moving to bend oregon, where we don't have ONE Italian deli. Not one. If Givanni or Pasquale read this please send me your email address. This is Bud Brooks writing. There is no food like yours. |

I don't know what people mean by "authentic", but this doesn't do it for me. Food is good, but unless you're an insider the service is lacking. |

I've grown up with San Carlo, ever since they had the deli in Van Nuys, and through the crisis of the riots, they found a new home in Chatsworth, and continue to be the highest in quality of product, friendliness of service, and overall ambience for any italian deli I've been to up and down the California coast. Giovanni and family are the best! |
